Hi,
I'm very interested in Austrian Economics and how its application would affect individual economies the world over. There are 16 books to read on this course and it costs around 350 dollars and it appears as though it is directed at the engaging a persons understanding of economics at more fundamental level. My Question is what is the final outcome of doing the course? Is one required to sit an exam at the end? Does one qualify if he/she successfully completes the course?
Yours faithfully

I can't speak for the Mises Institute, but I can speak to you as someone who purchased the home study course. There isn't any exam at the end, but each week's lesson has "study questions" you can use to test your knowledge. Everything you learn would be for your own instrinsic goals, unless you plan to apply to Mises University at some point in the future. I would imagine a core understanding gained through a course such as this would increase your chances of being accepted. Again, you have to decide what's important. Sometimes, as Socrates once stated, it's great to gain knowledge simply for its own sake.
